46. Redesigning Everything — A Cradle to Cradle World

It’s time to flip it all on its end and start redesigning everything. It’s not about reducing or reusing — it’s about redesigning. Not just the products we buy and the clothes we wear, but our society at large and how we live our lives!

Does this mean we need to go back in time and say thanks and goodbye to consumerism for good? Not at all! In fact, if you are to believe the cradle-to-cradle philosophy, shopping is not the issue. Because it’s not just what we do but how we do them.

The C2C School of Thought is characterized by a positive conception of man with a positive footprint: as beneficial organisms, humans are a part of the environment. Old patterns of thinking are abandoned, while new paths towards “intelligent abundance" are established.
